The fact that Debbie Hannah Skinner is an artist is not the only thing that distinguishes her from other speakers. You see, she is a “heartist,” someone who communicates from her heart to yours through a unique blend of words and art. Debbie’s passion is to point women to Jesus Christ by skillfully weaving her words and water media paintings with wisdom from Scripture.
Debbie brings her audiences a powerful message that is firmly grounded in Scripture and presented with the soft Southern sensitivity and sense of humor she acquired while growing up in Alabama. Sometimes Debbie paints as she speaks, other times she uses her paintings as visual aids. Either way, by using the same creativity required to create a masterpiece painting, she custom designs her presentations to meet the unique needs of your group.
By sharing insights from her years as a professional educator and seminary trained Bible teacher, Debbie has touched the hearts of women across the United States and overseas. By drawing upon her own family’s varied life experiences - ranging from downsizing to dyslexia - she encourages and inspires women to find hope in Christ through all the ups and downs of life.
The elements of Scripture, art, and real life examples are woven into Debbie's art/talk presentations, and presented through her gracious sense of humor.
Debbie brings an added visual dimension to her presentations by painting an original watercolor picture as she speaks. Her audiences are amazed as they see biblical truth unfolds before their eyes while hearing it with their ears. Many of Debbie’s paintings are donated to the host organization or used as a memorable door prize.
Scripture: Matthew 19:26 “. . .with God all things are possible.”
Ever feel useless? Washed up? Invisible? Like a piece of discarded furniture, we can all feel
this way sometimes- but God specializes in breathing life into what may appear to be useless
Using illustrations of random objects she’s repurposed for use in her art studio, Debbie helps
her listeners see women in the Bible who God precisely prepared then powerfully used in His
service (even when all outward appearances said they were washed up) in a new way.
