With a heart of compassion and love for encouraging, Millicent Martin Poole is a wife and mom first. But she’s also an adjunct professor, corporate trainer, speaker, author, and advocate for the homeless.
After a near-death experience, Millicent discovered her passion to write and inspire transformation within others. Determined to have a life by design, not default, she began re-designing her life. For over twenty years, she has been teaching people how to awaken to their brilliance, summon the courage to live their passion and unapologetically become more of who they really are.
Millicent has spoken to diverse audiences: corporations, professional organizations, seminaries and churches.
Rich with wisdom and fresh insight, Millicent has empowered countless people, from CEOs to the homeless, with personal and professional development action tools. Her presentations are packed with hope and inspiration. She strongly believes it’s never too early or too late to pursue your purpose and have the life you desire.
Millicent is the author of Be The Answer Now in which she hares her journey of how she overcame playing small her whole life to morph into a confident leader with the power to influence others to do the same. After a few wake-up calls, she made the choice to recognize her skills and fully accept her God-given influence. Her story shows you if you find the courage, commit to your dream, and trust in God, you can be and do anything.
In her book, What Are You Really Running From?, she shares life lessons learned from the historical Egyptian slave, Hagar, Millicent moves her readers to challenge their limitations and break through barriers that have stopped them from fulfilling the highest expression of themselves. Millicent has also been featured in publications like Woman’s Touch, Kindred Spirit and Lewisville Leader.
A recognized leader in public and private sectors in management consulting, accounting and corporate training, she was appointed National Committee Member of the Institute of Management Accountants; inducted into the Stuart Cameron McLeod Society; served as Director of the Christian Women’s Job Corps, and founder of White Stone Women’s Center.
Born in Alabama, Millicent earned her M.A. in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary and M.B.A. from Alabama A & M University. She lives in Texas with her husband, and their two daughters.
What Are You Really Running From?

Drawing on the life lessons of Hagar, Millicent will help you navigate life obstacles and feel empowered to:
